The Mission of the James Clemens Counseling Department is to provide a comprehensive, developmental counseling program addressing the academic, career, personal and social development of ALL students. In partnership with educators, parents, and community members, the program is designed to facilitate a support system to ensure students are prepared with the knowledge and skills to contribute at the highest levels of society.
The Counseling Department will also serve as the gatekeeper, maintaining a watchful eye on course selection and social interaction within the school community, while planning and implementing transitional activities for students destined for college, technical school, workforce, or the military.
The Counseling Department will support interventions with students, faculty, administrators, parents and guardians in order for students to have the best high school experience possible.
