I am a product of Decatur City Schools! I graduated in 2004.

I completed my Bachelor’s in foreign languages w/concentration in Spanish in 2008.

I completed my Masters in Spanish Education in 2014 and am certified K-12!


I taught in Decatur City Schools for 4 years.

I taught Spanish & French at Brookhaven Middle School from 2009-2011.

I taught Spanish at Austin High School until May of 2013.

And Now…I’m proud to be a JET!




I grew up in Decatur, Alabama. I lived there most of my life until I moved to Birmingham for college at UAB. (Go Blazers!) Upon graduation, I moved back to Decatur because…that’s where I got my first Job. (Bilingual Family Case Manager/Interpreter for Community Action Partnership) In my free time I enjoy pursuing my childhood goal of earning my Black Belt and traveling the world!
