Amber Deline is a 1999 graduate of Hackleburg High School where she was an All-State selection for four years. She started varsity basketball as a 7th grader and was Regional MVP her 7th and 11th grade years. Deline was a candidate for Miss Basketball in 1999 and a finalist for 2A Player of the Year.  She was also voted as one of the top 12 players in the state in 1999 and was a starter for the Alabama-Mississippi All-Star game. Deline attended the University of North Alabama on a basketball scholarship where she was a starter for all four years.

While at UNA, she was selected to the All-Conference 1st team for three years and the 2nd team for one year. She also was selected to the All-Conference Academic team for four years. She currently holds five UNA records, two which include All-Time Leading Scorer and Rebounder. Deline graduated from UNA with a 3.7 GPA. After UNA, Deline worked at the University of Montevallo for three years as the women's basketball assistant. While at Montevallo, Deline earned her Master's Degree in Education. She then worked at Samford University as the women's basketball assistant for two years.

In 2008, Deline accepted her first head coaching job at Oneonta High School. In her six year span at Oneonta, Deline won back-to-back state championships in 2013 and 2014. Her overall record as a head coach is 151-42. Deline was voted 4A Coach of the Year in 2013, is a member of the Marion County Hall of Fame, and was recently inducted into the UNA Athletic Hall of Fame.

In the summer of 2014, Deline accepted a job at James Clemens High School where she teaches Physical Education and is the head coach for the girls basketball program.
