I am so PROUD to be a Jet!!!  My family moved to Madison in 1974 and I grew up right here in this wonderful city!  I graduated from Bob Jones High School in 1987. (in the building where Discovery Middle is now located) My husband and I love living and raising our children here in Madison. And, I have loved watching Madison grow...I remember when County Line Rd. was a two lane gravel road!  Madison has come a long way from the little cotton farming town it once was when I moved here as a child and I absolutely love it!

This is my 23rd year in Education and I LOVE teaching and learning!  I began my career as a Second Grade teacher at Hazel Green Elementary in 1995 and then moved to Fifth Grade the very next year and taught Math and Language Arts for three years.  A new school was opened in the Hazel Green Cluster and I was given the opportunity to transfer to Meridianville Middle School where I taught Sixth Grade Math and Language Arts for two years.  While teaching Sixth Grade I began the Library Science program at the University of Alabama (Tuscaloosa) and graduated with my Masters degree in 2002. ROLL TIDE!!!  In 2001, while getting my Masters degree, I became the Library Media Specialist at Meridianville Middle School.  In 2014 I became the Library Media Specialist at Discovery Middle School and in 2017 I became the Library Media Specialist here at JCHS.  I am so excited to be here at JC and I can't wait to work, partner and collaborate with all of the students, teachers, faculty, and parents!  It's a Great Day to be a Jet!!!

I am happily married to my husband, Jim, and we have two wonderful children, Cason and Isabella.  We have two Golden Retrievers, Luke and Leia....Yep, it's a Star Wars thing! :-)  And, a cat named Jack.  We have a small Nigerian Dwarf goat farm where we have Seven Nigerian Dwarf goats, some chickens, a rooster, several cats and a guardian dog named Emma.

I love to travel with my family, listen to audio books, run for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, photography, trying new Pinterest crafts and recipes and I love ALL things Alabama Football!  We have been to the last six National Championship games, (even when UA wasn't playing...gotta support the SEC) but the Best ones were when the Crimson Tide took home the Crystal and Golden trophies!  ROLL TIDE!!!
