Bio

I am originally from Guntersville, Alabama and grew up on the shores of Lake Guntersville.  After graduating from Auburn, I worked in the Poultry Industry for approximately 12 years in various capacities, including production, quality assurance, and project management.  After acquiring my Master's degree at Jacksonville State University, I managed a Microbiology Lab for 3 years and spent the last 5 years as a Microbiologist at a pharmaceutical company.  Since 2013, I have taught various Life Science courses at different community colleges in Alabama.  I have taught Biology 1, Biology 2, Anatomy/Physiology 1 and Anatomy/Physiology 2, both in-class and online.  This experience truly made me realize my true calling- to be an educator.

I have lived in Madison since 2009 with my wonderful family and am looking forward to a great year at James Clemens High School as a Biology teacher!  Go Jets!
