Graduation Information
- Date - Monday, May 18th, 2026
- Venue - Von Braun Center Arena
- Time - 2:00 pm
- Doors open at 1:00 pm for guests. ALL guests must present a graduation ticket to attend the ceremony. Children aged 2 and under do not have to have a ticket, but must sit in the lap of a ticket holder (per VBC guidelines).
- A list of "Prohibited Items" can be found here. Please familiarize yourself with this list of items and the policies listed on the VBC's web page BEFORE attending graduation. Parking is not free and is most often cashless.
- The VBC has a new bag policy in place and will be enforced for all 2026 graduation ceremonies. Please see below:

- Handicap Seating - JCHS CANNOT RESERVE SEATING OR PARKING!!!! Handicap seating is First Come, First Served. The doors will open for all JCHS guests at 1:00 pm. Neither sponsors can arrange special seating or parking.
- There will be a MANDATORY PRACTICE for ALL Graduating Seniors at 8:00 am - VBC Arena (you do not need your cap & gown for this)
- Please plan to attend and be on time!
- If you are not at practice, we will assume you are not participating in the ceremony, and we will remove your name from the graduation list for the ceremony.
- Seniors will report to the EAST HALL at 12:45 pm for line up.
- The Graduation LiveStream link for those who would like to watch from other locations will be available HERE!
- To order and purchase 2026 JCHS Graduation videos, the link can be found HERE!

Each Senior will receive 10 tickets for his/her guests. The VBC only provides 10 tickets per senior. Families are welcome to try to reach out to other graduating senior families to see if they have any extra, but that is up to individual families to coordinate. The senior sponsors do not coordinate obtaining extra tickets for seniors. The ceremony will be streamed for anyone who is unable to attend in person. The link for streaming will be posted above on the Friday before the event.

Madison City Seal of Distinction Cords
- To earn the MCS Seal of Distinction, students must meet ALL the following requirements:
- Taken and passed 3 AP courses
- Taken and passed 2 Foreign Language classes in sequence
- Taken and passed Algebra II with Trig.
- Please see YOUR senior level counselor for more information.
Alabama State Seal of Biliteracy Award (Medal)
- Graduates will be notified via email when they have successfully completed the following requirements:
- Successful completion of all high school graduation requirements
- Documentation of proficiency in one of the approved English language assessment options.
- Demonstration of proficiency in one or more other languages via a benchmark score on an approved assessment
- Students will receive their medal to be worn at commencement at an awards ceremony, JC Cafeteria. Please check your email for all details.
4.0 White Tassels
- Students graduating with a 4.0 or above GPA will receive a white tassel to wear at graduation
- These will be distributed at graduation practice on the morning of May 18th.
Graduation Gifts: If you would like to purchase gifts for your senior, please click HERE for more information. You may pre-order or you may also purchase at the ceremony on May 18th.
If you feel as though your name may be difficult to pronounce, or you simply want to ensure correct pronunciation, please complete the following FORM no later than May 1st. You must be logged in using your MCS credentials--the form will not open otherwise. You may also visit Mrs. Kaur or Mr. Clement. We will have a table set up on the day of cap/gown distribution (not yet determined, but I PROMISE you will get your supplies!).
