COUNSELING DEPARTMENT MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of the James Clemens Counseling Department is to provide a comprehensive, developmental counseling program addressing the academic, career, personal, and social development of all students. In partnership with educators, parents, and community members, the program is designed to facilitate a support system to ensure students are prepared with the knowledge and skills to contribute at the highest levels of society. The Counseling Department will also serve as the gatekeeper, maintaining a watchful eye on course selection and social interaction within the school community, while planning and implementing transitional activities for students destined for college, technical school, workforce, or the military. The Counseling Department will support interventions with students, faculty, administrators, parents, and guardians in order for students to have the best high school experience possible.
New to Madison City Schools? Families interested in meeting with a James Clemens counselor must complete the online registration process. Information may be found on the Madison City Schools website or by calling the Madison City Schools Administration Office at (256) 464-8370.
