Math Team
What is Math Team?
- Math Team is a competitive group where students show their mathematical skills by competing in rigorous contests with other students locally and around the country. Students learn problem solving strategies and engage in higher level mathematics that transcends the scope of the standard mathematics curriculum. There are three different grade levels for competitions: Geometry, Algebra 2 with Trigonometry, and Comprehensive (Pre-Calculus and above).
Expectations for Math Team
- Team Dues: $40 to cover registration fees and supplies
- Attend bi-weekly meetings during Refuel to prepare for competitions
- Be willing to learn from other students and help other students learn
Meetings
- Meetings will be held every other Tuesday starting after Labor Day.
