National Honor Society

The National Honor Society (NHS) celebrates students' commitment to the values of scholarship, service, leadership, and character. These four pillars have been associated with membership in the organization since its inception at JCHS in 2011.

The JCHS NHS Chapter encourages all students in grades 10-12 who aspire to excellence in the areas of scholarship, character, leadership, and service to submit a student information form for consideration. 

Membership Requirements

  • 3.75 cumulative weighted GPA is required (validated each year)
  • 20 hours of community service per year on a volunteer basis for a non-profit organization.
  • Payment of dues.
  • Attend monthly meetings.
