APPLY FOR NEHS
Applications will open in September 2025.
GENERAL INFORMATION
- When the application window opens, you can complete the application by clicking on the link below or by scanning the QR code.
- Late applications will not be accepted, and students must reapply in the next school year.
- Incomplete applications will not be considered for membership.
- New members will be notified by EMAIL of their acceptance a week after the application window closes. This gives Mrs. Paine time to request transcripts and review applications.
- Inductions will be held in the spring of 2026, with the other honor societies provided you meet the requirements during the school year.
- Once notified, you may pay a one-time fee of $40. This includes local and national fees as well as a cord for graduation. Mrs. Paine will hold the cord until your senior year.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Complete the online application (linked below).
- Must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0.
- Must have consecutively completed at least two (2) Advanced English courses.
- Must have a 3.5 GPA in Advanced English courses.
- Must maintain an A or B average in future Advanced English classes.
- Complete 5 NEHS service hours or service project participation (this includes scholarship contests through NEHS and guest speakers)
- Attend meetings. These take place during Refuel in A211. Dates are posted on our club website and on GroupMe. You are permitted 1 excused absence.
- Attend the spring induction.
- After acceptance, pay a one-time $40 induction fee, which covers both local and national fees and a cord.
